The TC42E Thermostat and Wiring Hub is a simple,
low-cost integrated solution for controlling heating, cooling and a whole house
fan.
Whole house fans (WHF) provide free cooling by bringing cool, outside air into the home and exhausting the stale, warm air out of the home. Traditionally, WHFs are controlled by a timer that is set by the homeowner. If during the night, the temperature inside becomes too cool, the homeowner must get up and turn the fan off. The TC42E offers a better approach by controlling the whole house fan by temperature.
An optional outdoor temperature sensor and optional upstairs temperature sensor can be installed for even more comfort and control. The outdoor temperature sensor can be used to inhibit whole house fan operation when the outside temperature is too warm. The upstairs temperature sensor can be used to control heating, cooling and WHF operation at night using the sleeping area temperature.

Features
Easily Upgrade to WiFi
The TC42E can easily be upgraded to WiFi to provide homeowners with remote access to their home's heating
Nighttime Energy Savings and Comfort
The TC42E thermostat includes Energy Star nighttime setback temperatures. For additional savings, homeowners can control the whole house fan using temperature control rather than timer control which will eliminate running the fan once the desired temperature is reached. For additional

and cooling system and the whole house fan. The WiFi version simply plugs into the same subbase - no additional wiring needed. Eliminates the need for the whole house fan WiFi module and app.
One Device for Integrated Control
The touch screen thermostat with integrated control features a high definition LCD display and controls heating, cooling and the whole house fan. Integrated control eliminates the need for a timer to be installed and prevents compressor cooling when whole house fan cooling is selected.

Whole House Fan Control
Wiring Hub Solution for Add On / Replacement
WHF relay board and optional sensors are wired to the wiring hub.
Thermostat uses the existing wiring in the home.
Easy upgrade to whole house comfort control - Integrated control of airflow, whole house fans, fresh air, ERV/HRV units and humidity by simply changing out the wiring hub.
Optional wireless sensors simplifies installation.
The homeowner sets the system mode to eCool to activate the whole house fan and then sets the desired set point temperature. Once the inside temperature reaches the desired temperature, the thermostat will turn the WHF off, saving energy. If the temperature rises, the thermostat turns the WHF on again. In addition, the thermostat prevents compressor cooling when the whole house fan is on.
comfort, an optional temperature sensor can be installed in the sleeping area to control heating, cooling and whole house fan operation rather than using the temperature at the thermostat.
